The Fire TV Stick is a great little device made by Amazon. It allows you to stream movies and TV shows from your Android device to your TV. The great thing about this device is that it only has to be plugged into the TV to allow you to use it, so there is no need to have your phone or tablet plugged into the TV. But, if you want to get more out of the Fire TV Stick, then you need to get Google Play.
Fire TV Stick has gone a long way in the past few years. Back in 2014, the Fire TV was only a cheap way to enhance your TV experience. Now, Fire TV Stick can be used to watch videos from Netflix, YouTube, Amazon, and Hulu, among other entertainment. How to Install Google Play on Fire TV Stick (Aptoide) .
If you are looking to install Google Play on your Fire TV Stick (Aptoide) box, then this post will show you how to get it running.
In this guide, I explain how to install Google Play on FireStick and Fire TV devices. Google Play Store is the most used application store with thousands of applications, games and utilities. A wide range of applications and ease of use are the main advantages. However, the Play Store is not available on all Android platforms. For example, Amazon FireStick and Fire TV devices have the Amazon Store and do not support the Play Store. Unfortunately, Amazon’s list of apps isn’t very long, so FireStick users often look for other options.
The Play Store is not officially available on these Amazon devices. Is there any way to upload it from the site? The answer is yes! Here, however, I’m going to tell you about something much better than Google Play on the FireStick. In this guide, I will introduce you to a third-party app store called Aptoide TV, which is a better alternative to the Play Store and is optimized for Fire device platforms.
Installing Google Play on the Fire Stick (alternative)
The Play Store side-loading process on the FireStick is tedious, time-consuming, prone to crashes, and often fails. You would have wasted an hour and a half for nothing. I don’t want to waste your time. At Aptoide, get everything you can get on Google Play and more. Aptoide TV works on the FireStick for the most part without errors. It also has a decent collection of FireStick apps that you’ll never need. So learn how to install and use the Aptoide application store.
Do you worry about your privacy online?
Before I go on, I want to draw your attention to an important point. Privacy is an important issue on the World Wide Web. You could be watched by hackers, identity thieves, or even your own government and ISP. It is therefore logical to find a way to maintain anonymity and privacy in the digital space of the Internet.
Set up your VPN now and enjoy your peace of mind. The VPN encrypts all traffic on your devices and provides complete anonymity. A VPN will also ensure that you don’t fall victim to internet throttling, a practice that is becoming increasingly common.

Preparing the FireStick for Aptoide TV side loading
Aptoide, the most promising alternative to Google Play on the FireStick, is a third-party app store, and not surprisingly, it’s not hosted on the Amazon Store. Since we don’t want to get the application from the official store, we first need to install a sidebar downloader called Downloader.
Downloader allows you to download APK files from the Internet to your FireStick. Downloader is the most popular application for downloading third-party applications to the Fire Stick.
1. From the FireStick home screen, navigate to Search > Search
2. Find the Downloader application and follow the on-screen instructions to install it on your device.
3. Now select Settings on the home screen
4. Then click on My Fire TV
5. Click on Developer Options
Click on Install unknown applications
6. Activate the bootloader
Method 1: Steps to install an alternative Play Store (Aptoide Store) on the FireStick with Downloader
Now I’m going to show you how to install the Google Play Store on your Amazon Fire Stick device (specifically, the Aptoide alternative).
1. Start the Downloader application
If the application does not appear on the Home screen, press and hold the Home button on the remote and select Apps. You will see a list of all your applications. Scroll to Downloader and start it.
2. On the main screen of the downloader, make sure the Home option is selected in the left sidebar.
3. You will see a blinking cursor in the URL field. Press the Select button on the remote control to access the on-screen keyboard. Enter the URL firesticktricks.com/store and press the Go button on your keyboard (or the Play button on your remote). Look at the picture below. Here is the link to get Aptoide, an alternative to Google Play on the FireStick.
4. The Aptoide APK file will be automatically downloaded to your device’s memory.
5. When the download is complete, the following screen appears. Highlight the Install button and click it.
6. The installation progress screen appears. When the installation is complete, you will see a message that the application has been installed, as well as the Done and Open buttons.
7. Click on Finish because we don’t want to open the application yet (but if you really want to open the application right away, click on Open; the choice is yours!).
8. You will now see the following dialog box. You do not need to click the Install button because the application is already installed. Instead, click on the Uninstall button to remove the APK file. We don’t need it anymore, and it takes up unnecessary memory.
That’s it! You have successfully installed Aptoide, an alternative to Google Play, on your FireStick.
Method 2: Installing Aptoide on the FireStick with ES File Explorer WITHOUT a Computer (Method 2)
Message: This is an alternative method. If you have already installed Aptoide with the Downloader application, you do not need to follow these steps. In addition, ES File Explorer now costs $9.99 per month if you want to take advantage of the side-loading feature.
If you can’t or don’t want to get the Downloader, or if you just prefer the ES File Explorer, I’ll show you how to use it to install the Aptoide application on the Fire TV Stick.
ES File Explorer is also available everywhere, and as I said, it’s more accessible than Downloader, so it makes sense to include it.
There are two ways to install Google Play on the Fire Stick: one with a computer and one without.
The automated method is easier and faster (but requires a $9.99/month premium subscription). First we will talk about this method. If you have already downloaded the Aptoide APK to your computer, you can consider the second method later.
You are faced with a method of ES Explorer that does not require a computer.
Step one: On the home screen, go to Search > Find and install ES File Explorer
Open ES File Explorer, go to Tools in the left sidebar and expand it. Select Download Manager from the Tools submenu and click the + button at the bottom.
Step two: A download dialog should now appear
Step three: In the Path field, enter the URL of https://firesticktricks.com/store. Under Name you can enter any name, but it must correspond to the installed application. I called it Aptoide TV, just like the name of the applications I install.
Step four: Now click on Download Now and wait for the APK to download.
After downloading, click on Open File to launch the APK file. This will start the installation process.
Step 5: When you see the following prompt, click Install.
Step six: Press the Install button
Seventh step: This is what you will see after installing the application. To start the application immediately, click Open. Otherwise, click Finish. You can start the application later from Apps and Games.
That’s it! Now let’s see how to install the Aptoide app to replace Google Play on the FireStick using ES File Explorer and the computer.
Installing Aptoide on a FireStick with ES File Explorer WITH Computer
You need a computer. Windows, Mac or Linux – it all works!
Make sure the computer and FireStick are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Here we go!
On your computer: First, download the Aptoide APK file from https://www.firesticktricks.com/store to your computer.
On the FireStick: Now install the ES File Explorer application from the Amazon Store on your FireStick device. Simply select the search option at the top left of the Fire Stick home screen, search for ES File Explorer and follow the simple on-screen instructions to install it.
Step one: Launch ES File Explorer from your applications and games. Scroll down the left sidebar to the Network menu and expand it. Now select Remote Manage from the available network options (image below).
Step two: Now click the big button Activate. You should now see the FTP address. Mine is ftp://192.168.1.7:3721/
Your address will be different. Write down this address. You must enter them on your computer. Manage all the files and folders on your FireStick from your computer
Step three: On your computer: Now go back to your computer and open any folder. Type the FTP address of your Fire TV Stick that you see on the ES Explorer screen into the address bar of the folder window on your computer and press Enter. The contents of the ES file explorer on your computer are opened.
The picture below was taken under Windows 10. But it works just as well on Mac and Linux.
Step four: Now copy the Aptoide for Fire Stick APK that you downloaded earlier to your computer. And paste it into a folder in the ES file explorer you opened in the previous step with the FTP address. You can even create a new folder if needed.
I always choose the download folder to copy the APK file from my computer. In a way, it makes more sense to me. But that’s just me! The choice is yours!
Step 5: On the FireStick: Go back to the FireStick and open the ES File Explorer if it is not already open.
Go to the pop-up menu on the left and expand it. Select the second house option (not the one with the house picture). See the image below for clarity.
Step six: Now navigate with the remote control to the Download folder on the right side of the screen.
Seventh step: Open the folder and you will see the Aptoide APK file here (remember? I saved this file in the download folder. If you copied it to another folder, select it accordingly).
Step 8: Press the Select button on the FireStick to launch this APK file. When the properties prompt appears, click the Install button (image below).
Step 9: Now it is: Business as usual! Navigate to the bottom of the next screen and click on Install in the lower right corner to confirm your action and install the application.
Step 10: Once the application is installed, you will see this, as before. If you want to start Aptoide TV immediately, click OPEN, or click DOE to open it later.
To use Google Play (alternative) on the Fire TV Stick
You have installed an alternative to Google Play on Fire TV without root. Execute him now!
You probably already know that you have access to all applications under your apps and games. Simply press and hold the Home button on the remote and select Apps when the following menu appears.
This is great! However, recently installed applications do not appear on the home screen and are at the bottom of the application list. You want to move frequently used applications to the top instead of opening them at DeepL.
As you can see, Apptoide is at the bottom of the list. But you can easily move it upstairs. Scroll down the list and select Aptoide.
Now press and hold the Select button on the remote control. Alternatively, you can press the menu button (three horizontal dashes) on the remote and select Move from the menu that appears in the lower right corner, as shown in the image below:
Press the up direction button on the remote until the Aptoide application is in the first row.
Now click the Select button to move the Aptoid application icon to the top row. Go back to the FireStick home screen and you will find the Aptoid icon there!
This is what the home screen of Aptoide looks like. Everything else is pretty simple. You can search for an application using the search function in the top left corner. Discover Aptoide and download all the applications you need.
Reduction
Learn how to download the Google Play alternative on the FireStick. There is a workaround to download the Play Store on Fire devices, but that is time consuming and usually doesn’t work. I have tried it myself several times and have been disappointed several times. I don’t see the point of all the effort to get Google Play on the FireStick when I can get all the best FireStick apps I’ll ever need on Aptoide. Additionally, the Play Store is not designed or optimized for the Fire Stick platform. Most of his applications don’t work either. Get Aptoide and away with all this fuss.
