Although most of the people have the idea that they have to install the VUDU APK to play its movies and TV shows because it’s the only way to watch their favorite movies and TV shows. But what they don’t know is that VUDU APK is not the only way to install VUDU on FireStick. You can also install VUDU on FireStick without downloading the APK file.

In this tutorial I will show you how to install and use Vudu on the FireStick. The instructions in this guide work on all Fire TV devices, including the FireStick 4K, FireStick Lite, FireStick 2.
Vudu is an American streaming service and online video store where you can rent or buy digital copies of movies, TV shows, and other videos.
What sets Vudu apart from other streaming services is that you don’t have to pay a monthly subscription. You only pay for what you see.
It has a huge collection of movies and series. You can rent or buy a digital copy of the video. Prices vary depending on the content and the quality of the stream (HD or SD).
Vudu also has a huge collection of free ad-supported content. It offers dozens of films and shows of different genres.
Register with Vudu for use on FireStick and other devices
To use the Vudu streaming service, you must register and create an account. However, you are not obliged to take out a subscription when you register. Vudu is a rental service, not a subscription service.
1. To register, visit the official Vudu website.
2. On the registration page, enter the following information to create a new account:
- Name
- Last name
- E-mail :
- Password
3. Click on Save to continue
You can also sign up with a Facebook or Walmart account if you have one.
3. You will then be asked to provide billing information. However, you do not need to do that at this stage. You can do it later.
At that time you will not be charged. You are only taxed when you make a purchase.
You can use your credit card, PayPal or a Vudu gift card.
Enter your billing address and click Next. To add the billing information later, click I do it later.
How to get Vudu on a FireStick
This section consists of three parts. Each section contains a different set of steps. Here’s what we’ll do:
- Install the Downloader application
- Allow installation from unknown sources
- Installing Vudu on the FireStick with the Downloader application
Install the Downloader application
Although Vudu is a legitimate service, it cannot be downloaded from the Amazon App Store. So we load it onto our FireStick.
The Downloader application is required to download applications side by side. That’s why we install them first. Downloader is available for purchase in the Amazon store.

Here are the small steps:
1. Select the Search option from the middle pane of the FireStick startup screen, as shown in the figure below.
Message: If you are still using an older version of the FireStick’s operating system, select the search option in the upper left corner.
2. Click Search Next
3. Find the Downloader application using the on-screen keyboard.
In the search results, click on Downloader
Follow the instructions on the screen and install the download application.
Allow installation from unknown sources
As I mentioned earlier, Vudu is not available on the Amazon store. It’s loaded onto the page.
When you load an application in sideload mode, you must allow installation from unknown sources for the application loaded in sideload mode. In our case, it’s the Downloader application.
Perform the following steps:
1. Click on the gear icon in the middle (far right) bar of the FireStick home screen to access the settings.
Message: If you still have an older version of FireStick OS, select Settings from the top menu bar.
2. Press My Fire TV
3. Now open the development options
4. Click on the option Install unknown applications
Message: For older FireStick OS models, click and enable applications from unknown sources.
5. Select the Downloader application from the list and activate it.
This allows the download application to install Vudu on the FireStick.
Installing Vudu on the FireStick
To install the Vudu APK on your FireStick, follow the steps below.
1. While holding down the Home button on the FireStick remote, click on Apps in the window that appears.
2. Click and open the Downloader application
3. Suppress displayed prompts (at first startup)
As a result, you should see the following window (image below)
Click in the empty field of the URL
4. Enter the following URL: reviewdork.com
This is the page that hosts the Vudu APK for the FireStick.
Press GO
5. Scroll down the page and click on the Vudu icon.
6. Then click on Download the installation file
7. Wait for the Vudu APK to download to your FireStick. This may take a minute.
8. Press the Install button
9. Wait for the Vudu FireStick application to install. It’ll only take a few seconds.
10. Click Finish when this window appears
Back to the Downloader application
11. Click Uninstall to remove the previously downloaded Vudu APK.
You have already installed the application. The file is unusable. Removing it will save space on your device.
12. Click Delete again.
You have successfully installed Vudu on the FireStick.
To access and use Vudu on a FireStick
To open Vudu or another application on your Amazon FireStick, click on the three-dot icon in the center bar of the home screen (see below).
Or press and hold the FireStick’s Home button until the following pop-up window appears. Now click on Applications
Navigate to the Vudu icon and select it. Press to open the application.
If you want quick access to Vudu on the FireStick, you can move it to the home screen.
Press the 3-line menu button on the remote control. In the pop-up window on the right, click Move.
Now use the navigation buttons on the remote to place the Vudu icon somewhere on the top line. This will make it appear on the home screen.
This is what the Vudu application looks like when you open it for the first time.
If you are not already registered, click Register or use the navigation method described earlier in this guide.
To use the application, click on Login.
Message: You can click the Browse button to open the application and view its contents. However, you must register and login to view the stream.
You can sign up now with your Vudu account or your Walmart.com account.
Enter your account details and click Next
You should now see the following prompt. Press the Vudu search button

On the left side, you’ll see different categories, including My Vudu, Home, Pay, Deals, TV, Movie Genres, TV Genres, and more.

You can start looking now. However, remember to add your account information before making any purchases.
To view Vudu in a web browser on a FireStick
Vudu offers a lot of free material. However, for some reason, the full library of free movies and series is not available in the Vudu FireStick application. So if you want to explore and view everything, you can open Vudu through a web browser on your FireStick.
You can use any available browser – e.g. B. Amazon Silk or Firefox.
I prefer silk. So that’s what we’ll use here.
1. From the FireStick home screen, select Search > Search
2. Search for Amazon Silk Browser and click on it in the search results.
3. On the next screen, tap the Internet tile.
4. Click Download or Receive in the following window
5. Open the Amazon Silk browser
6. Click on the address bar at the top
7. Enter Vudu.com and press GO
8. Click on the button with the three lines in the top left corner.
9. Click on Connect from the pop-up menu. Follow the instructions on the page to log into your Vudu account.
10. Now you can start exploring and broadcasting.
To access the free content, click again on the three-line menu in the top left corner and select Free from the pop-up menu.
11. Select one of the options in the Free category (e.g. Watch all free movies and TV, Movies, TV, News, Family and kids, etc.).
Debriefing
Follow the steps above to install Vudu on your FireStick. However, please remember to register for the service in advance. To view paid content, you must also provide billing information during or after registration. Vudu also offers many free programs.
